Feeling invisible, overlooked, or misunderstood can make the beginning of another day feel especially lonely. This morning prayer is for anyone who quietly carries responsibilities, gives more than others notice, or wishes someone would simply ask how they are doing and stay long enough to hear the answer. Maybe you are the person who keeps your household running without acknowledgment, the coworker whose efforts are rarely recognized, or someone surrounded by people who never seem to notice what you are going through. You answer that everything is fine because explaining the truth feels harder than keeping it to yourself. Over time, that silence can become a loneliness that follows you even into crowded rooms. In this Christian morning prayer for loneliness and comfort, we bring God the hurt of feeling unseen, the resentment that can grow when our efforts go unnoticed, and the difficult emotions we struggle to put into words.
