Federal Signal 2001-130 | Attack | Brecksville, OH | 3-24-18

Today I went to film yet another Brecksville siren test. I went to the 2001-130 at Brecksville Cemetery on Highland Drive, which I haven't recorded before. I attempted to record it in September, but a burial or something was going on in the cemetery and I didn't want to look weird so I went to the other 2001-130 on Miller Rd. that day (yes, this siren is inside the cemetery). The echoes were amazing because the cemetery is on a large hill and this siren is as well. You may be able to hear other 500hz sirens in the distance, which is the American Signal T-128 located at Blossom Hill Park on Oakes Rd. This siren is DC only and is powered via solar panels. It directly replaced an old Whelen WS-2016 around 2013 or 2014 which sat in the cemetery as well, while it may not have been this exact spot. This siren was very loud and has a great coverage spot being on top of a hill as it projects the sound down the hill which makes a pretty good echo. While this siren has been recorded a few times previously, it was pretty awesome to hear and record anyways. Enjoy! Brecksville tests their 4 sirens (2 ASC T-128's and 2 FS 2001-130's) every Saturday at noon during the months of March-October for 3 minutes using the attack (wail) signal.
