Finding the Monster for My Next Graphic Novel

I’m starting to work through the visual language for my next graphic novel, THE SHAPE OF MY SON — a cosmic horror story about grief, transformation, and a monster I’ve been trying to find on the page. This video starts as a quiet sketchbook session, then turns into a look at how I simplified the monster design by studying Roy Crane, Bruce Timm, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, crop circles, and old newspaper cartooning. After finishing SEE YOU IN HELL, I’m trying to build the next book from the ground up: simpler shapes, stronger silhouettes, and a design I’ll actually want to draw for hundreds of pages.
