Finding the Color of My Next Graphic Novel

Every new graphic novel starts with a problem. For me, this one wasn’t the story. It was figuring out how I was going to color The Shape of My Son without turning every page into a week-long painting. In this video I walk through the different coloring systems I considered, why they didn’t fit the book, and how I finally landed on a look that feels right.
