തിരുവനന്തപുരം-മംഗലാപുരം യാത്ര നാല് മണിക്കൂറില്‍?160 KM പറക്കും | Kerala High Speed Rail

മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 160 കി.മി വേഗതയുള്ള അതിവേഗപാതയുടെ സര്‍വേക്ക് റെയില്‍വേ അനുമതി നല്‍കിയതോടെ, അതിവേഗറെയിലിന് ശ്രമിക്കാതെ റെയില്‍വേയുമായി ചേര്‍ന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരംമംഗളൂരു വേഗപ്പാതയ്ക്കായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നീക്കം. 633കി.മി ദൈര്‍ഘ്യമുള്ള മൂന്നാം പാതയുടെ വേഗം 160 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ്. 7 റീച്ചുകളിലായി പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കാനാണ് സര്‍വേ. റെയില്‍വേയുമായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സഹകരിക്കും. ബ്രോഡ്‌ഗേജിലാണ് പാതകള്‍. റെയില്‍വേ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന 350 കി.മി വേഗമുള്ള ചെന്നൈബംഗളൂരു, ബംഗളൂരുഹൈദരാബാദ്, ചെന്നൈഹൈദരാബാദ് പാതകളിലേക്ക് ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കാനുമാവും. നിലവില്‍ കൊല്ലംകോട്ടയം, കോട്ടയംഎറണാകുളം, ഷൊര്‍ണൂര്‍മംഗളൂരു സെക്ഷനുകളില്‍ 110 കി.മി വരെ വേഗത്തിലോടാനാവും. കൊല്ലംതിരുവനന്തപുരം പാതയില്‍ 100 കിലോമീറ്ററില്‍ താഴെയാണ് വേഗം. ട്രാക്കുകള്‍ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തിയും സിഗ്നലുകള്‍ നവീകരിച്ചും വേഗത 130 കിലോമീറ്ററാക്കാനുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. Kerala is moving towards a major transformation in railway connectivity after the Indian Railways approved a survey for a new high-speed railway corridor capable of supporting speeds of up to 160 kmph. Instead of pursuing a completely separate high-speed rail system, the Kerala government is exploring a faster railway corridor in cooperation with the Railways, connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru. The proposed project involves a 633-kilometre railway corridor, with plans to develop a third railway line and improve the speed and capacity of train services across the state. The survey is expected to examine the project across seven different reaches. Currently, some railway sections in Kerala can support speeds of up to 110 kmph, including sections between Kollam-Kottayam, Kottayam-Ernakulam and Shoranur-Mangaluru.The Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram section currently operates at lower speeds, but railway authorities are working to improve infrastructure, strengthen tracks and modernize signalling systems to enable speeds of up to 130 kmph.
