Sardine Spaghetti (Spaghetti con le Sarde) - Martian Cookery

This is the famous Sicilian dish: "Pasta con le Sarde". There are many versions of this recipe to be found on YouTube. I added some star anise to boost the aniseed flavour a bit. Here is what NOT to do: Don't add pine nuts, don't add lemon and above all, don't add tomatoes or tomato paste! This is a unique and strange dish which is quite addictive.
