Emanuele Mongillo grew up in a small village near Naples and went on to work in kitchens across the US, Australia, the Emirates and Europe. Today, his kitchen sits on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. Emanuele is the chef at Il Lago, the restaurant at Tamchy SFIT. Here, Italian culinary techniques meet a distinctly Kyrgyz setting: local produce, seasonal ingredients, farmers and a team of Kyrgyz chefs.
