Creamy Mushroom Meatballs | Easy One-Pan Dinner

INGREDIENTS: • 500–600 g ground turkey • 250–300 g white button mushrooms • 1 large onion, divided • 2–3 garlic cloves • 1 egg • Approx. 100 g all-purpose flour, divided between the meatball mixture, coating, and sauce • 200–250 g sour cream • 200–250 ml water • 2–3 tbsp vegetable oil • Butter or extra vegetable oil for the mushrooms, if needed • Salt and black pepper, to taste HOW TO MAKE: 1. Crush or finely mince the garlic. Finely chop half the onion and slice the remaining half into half-moons. 2. Add the garlic and finely chopped onion to the ground turkey. Add the egg, about half the flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until combined. 3. Shape into meatballs and lightly coat in flour, reserving a little flour for the sauce. 4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet. Fry the meatballs until golden on all sides, then transfer to a plate. 5. Meanwhile, slice the mushrooms. 6. In the same skillet, add a little butter or oil if needed. Fry the mushrooms until golden, then add the sliced onion and cook until softened. 7. Sprinkle in the reserved flour. Cook, stirring, until the flour turns lightly golden. 8. Mix the sour cream with the water and pour into the skillet. Stir well and simmer gently for a few minutes. 9. Return the meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently until cooked through, letting all the flavors come together.
