The Indian Man Who Claims No Food or Water for 70 Years — Doctors Tested Him | #Deaftalksnews

Hello and Welcome to Deaf Talks News! A man named Prahlad Jani who has not eaten food or drank water for 70 years. He claims the last meal he ever ate was during the early years of World War. He claims that at the age of 8. He says he cannot even remember what that last meal was. He says it allows him to survive purely through meditation without needing any food or water at all. To test this incredible claim Jani spent more than two weeks under observation by doctors at Sterling Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A team of 35 researchers from India's Defence Institute studied him daily using clinical examinations, blood tests and scans. 24 hour CCTV surveillance was used to ensure maximum observation throughout the testing period. What did doctors find? Doctor Sudhir Shah confirmed we studied him for 15 days with him taking no water or food. Jani gargled water and took baths but consumed nothing. He was thin but doctors said he appeared healthy. Most shockingly Jani also did not urinate or pass stool during this entire 15 day period. Blood tests, hormone profiles, MRIs and angiograms all came back within safe ranges. The doctors were genuinely confused by these results. But now — the important scientific perspective. Doctor Michael Van Rooyen an emergency physician at Harvard Medical School said depending on conditions. A human could survive only 5 to 6 days without water, maybe a day or two longer in extreme cases. Doctor Van Rooyen pointed out that Jani did have some contact with water — through gargling and bathing. But still it remains shocking. Don't try this.
