Hello and Welcome to Deaf Talks News! India has a very serious health problem right now which is diabetic. When compared to other countries India has more diabetic. Over 10 crore Indians have diabetes today. What is diabetes? Our body needs a hormone called insulin. This Insulin converts the food we eat into energy. When the body naturally produces enough insulin. If insulin cannot produce blood sugar levels rise too high. This condition is called diabetes. Over time high blood sugar damages the heart, kidneys, eyes, nerves and feet. What are the early warning signs? Watch out for these signs feeling very thirsty all the time. Urinating very frequently especially at night. Feeling very tired and weak without reason. Wounds and cuts healing very slowly. If you notice any of these signs please visit a doctor immediately. Who is at higher risk? People above 40 years old. People who are overweight. People with a family history of diabetes. People who eat too much sugar and processed food. People who do not exercise at all. Simple prevention tips every Indian must follow: eat less white rice, white bread and sugary foods. Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and pulses. Walk at least 30 minutes every day. Drink plenty of water at least 8 glasses daily. Reduce stress through yoga or meditation. Please get your blood sugar tested.
