What if the reason you can't slow down, ask for help, or feel like you're doing enough has less to do with your ambition and more to do with the patterns you've been carrying for years?
In this episode of _Shedding the Shame_, I'm joined by Lindsay O'Donnell, a Vancouver-based intuitive coach who helps entrepreneurs and leaders uncover the deeper patterns that may be holding them back in business and life.
After running a marketing agency for eight years, Lindsay went through a divorce and a major personal transformation that led her to intuitive coaching and shadow work. She discovered how deeply our childhood experiences, subconscious beliefs and unresolved emotions can shape the way we show up in our relationships, careers and everyday lives.
We talk about the pressure women feel to be hyper-independent, constantly productive and capable of doing everything themselves. Lindsay shares how shame can show up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, undercharging for your work, fear of being seen, and the belief that you have to earn your rest.
We also explore intuition and what it means to learn to trust the quiet signals from your body, even when your mind is telling you to keep pushing. Lindsay explains shadow work, how patterns that once helped us feel safe can eventually hold us back, and why sometimes feeling more emotional during the healing process can be part of learning to feel safe enough to process what we've been carrying.
And we get into some thought-provoking territory, including the role of anger, the challenges of forgiveness, and how to make space for spiritual growth without bypassing or dismissing very real human emotions. As Lindsay puts it, healing isn't about never feeling angry or sad. It's about learning to trust yourself and hold yourself through those experiences without judgment.
This conversation is an invitation to get curious about the patterns you've been living with, where they may have come from, and whether they're still serving you.
