Arvist deploys vision AI in warehouses by starting with an on-site survey of the full operation, installing preconfigured camera stations at key choke points like packing, conveyor and dock door, and integrating with the customer's WMS or ERP so alerts and data flow into the systems teams already use. In this conversation from Masters of Supply Chain, Co-Founder and CEO Florian Selch talks with Arvist Founder and CEO Nilay Parikh about what implementing vision AI in a real warehouse looks like. They cover the site survey and deployment process, WMS and ERP integration, how vision AI exposes inaccurate WMS data, where barcode scanning still fits, the real limitations of vision AI in logistics, and why floor-level alerts matter more than another dashboard. Arvist starts with a site survey, walking the customer's entire warehouse process and delivering a report on current practices and where vision AI fits. That report guides how many stations go where, and Arvist then ships preconfigured kits and guides setup on site or remotely. Does vision AI replace barcode scanners? No. Arvist vision AI handles the large majority of captures, and barcode scanners stay on hand for the exceptions the cameras can't see, which turns scanning from a constant task into an occasional one. Who owns the data Arvist vision AI collects? The customer does. Arvist does not take ownership of customer data, so the AI-curated data stays with the warehouse for future automation projects like robotics. What happens when labels are damaged or change format? Arvist includes a label modeler that lets customers upload new label formats or product branding directly in the platform, and the vision AI adapts without waiting on the Arvist team. How do warehouse workers get alerts? Arvist sends alerts into the systems teams already use, including the WMS, text, email, Slack and Microsoft Teams, as well as IoT red lights on the floor that get attention immediately. Which systems does Arvist integrate with? Arvist integrates with 80+ WMS and ERP systems.
