Come to Me | Original Song from Matthew 11

"Come to Me" is a song about the heart of God as I’ve been discovering it through the words and actions of Jesus in Matthew. Again and again, Jesus seems to move toward the people who are hurting, burdened, rejected, or pushed to the margins. He doesn't demand that they become whole before they approach Him. He invites them to come as they are. “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 That invitation has become deeply meaningful to me. The heart of God isn't distant from human suffering. Jesus notices the people others overlook. He touches the untouchable. He eats with the rejected. He welcomes the weary. He responds to vulnerability with mercy rather than shame. And He doesn't seem to be asking us to become stronger before we come to Him. He says, Come. This song is a reminder that the invitation is still open—for the exhausted, the wounded, the uncertain, the lonely, and anyone who has spent too long trying to carry everything alone.
