Learn how to make delicious Stuffed Shimla Mirch (Bharwa Shimla Mirch) at home with this easy step-by-step recipe! 🌶️🥔 In this recipe, Shimla Mirch (Bell peppers/Capsicums) are stuffed with a flavorful potato filling and cooked until perfectly tender. This simple vegetarian dish is perfect for lunch, dinner, or as a side dish with roti, paratha, or rice. ☛FOR SHIMLA MIRCH (CAPSICUMS) PREPARATION:- Take 3 Green Shimla Mirch (Capsicums) & cut off the stem ends. Cut the Capsicums in half & remove the seeds & inner membranes. Keep it aside for further use. ☛FOR STUFFING:- Heat 4 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Add 1 tsp Cumin seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, ½ tsp Mustard seeds, ½ inch grated Ginger, 15-20 Curry leaves, 2 chopped green chillies & 1 finely chopped onion. Stir & fry. Now add ¼ tsp Asafoetida. Stir & cook. Add 1 roughly chopped tomato. Stir & cook. Now add ½ tsp Salt, ½ tsp Cumin powder, ½ tsp Coriander powder, ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, ½ tsp Amchur powder (Dry Mango Powder) & ½ tsp turmeric powder. Stir, mix & cook. Take 4 potatoes (boiled and peeled) in a bowl and mash them. Now transfer the mashed potatoes to the pan & mix well. Add 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves & mix well. Now transfer the potato mixture to a plate & allow it to cool completely. Our Stuffing is ready. ⬗Method:- Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan. Stuff the Shimla Mirch (Capsicums) with the potato mixture and gently place the stuffed capsicums into the hot oil. Close the lid & let it cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. After 2-3 minutes, open the lid and carefully turn over the stuffed capsicums. Sprinkle a little salt over it. Close the lid & let it cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. After 2-3 minutes, open the lid and carefully turn over the stuffed capsicums. Close the lid & let it cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. After 2-3 minutes, open the lid and transfer the stuffed Shimla Mirch (Capsicums) to a plate. Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
