The estate of Dorney court was vast one of the big houses on corbawn lane in Shankill but the house was demolished in 1984 but the lodge house and the big tree survives 100''s of houses were built alongside the former Harcourt street line trackbed indeed some houses were built on the former alignment the line curved down to Quinns road where in the 1960's Shanganagh grove and St Anne's Park were built . Shankill had to wait 18 years for a railway station, mistakes were made with the land from the junction to the viaduct been sold preventing the line from returning to the network or even imagine the luas going across Bride's glen viaduct under stonebridge road bridge arriving at the old Shankill station heading under Dublin road bridge the line curving down to Quinns road over the bridge down to the former junction with a interchange like Broombridge what might have been. #disusedrailways #luas #dublin
