Is Victoria Falls really worth adding to an African safari trip?
After visiting South Africa and Botswana, we headed to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, to see one of the world's most famous waterfalls for ourselves.
Victoria Falls sits on the Zambezi River along the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and in this video we take you along as we explore the Falls from the Zimbabwe side.
We'll show you what the walking experience is actually like, the different viewpoints, just how close you can get to the Falls, and something that's almost impossible to appreciate from pictures: the incredible sound, mist and sheer scale of the place.
And then there's the question everyone seems to ask:
How wet are we going to get?
We'll also take you around the town of Victoria Falls, show you where we stayed at Ilala Lodge, visit some local shops and restaurants, and check out a few other nearby attractions.
And because the Zambezi is also the border, we'll talk about something worth understanding before your trip: crossing between Zimbabwe and Zambia and making sure you have the proper entry documents to get back into Zimbabwe.
Finally, we'll show you one Victoria Falls experience that looks completely insane to us: Devil's Pool, where visitors can actually get into the water near the edge of the Falls on the Zambia side when seasonal water conditions allow it.
Would WE do it?
You'll have to watch and see.
Come along with WanderingPalz as we explore Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and find out whether we'd recommend adding it to your own African adventure.
