A new week is a fresh page, but for many of us, old regrets follow us right into Monday morning. We think of the words we wish we could unsay, the visits we postponed, the years we wandered from God, and the "what ifs" that replay in our minds. This morning prayer is for every heart that carries the weight of yesterday. We begin with thanksgiving for the riches of God's grace, which are greater than anything in our past. We remember the hard seasons when regret nearly crushed us, and yet here we are, still standing, still breathing, still believing. Then we bring our regrets honestly to Jesus. We bring our regrets as parents, in marriage, toward our parents, in broken friendships, over our health and our money, and the secrets we have never told anyone. And we receive His promise that our sins are blotted out like a cloud. We walk with Saul of Tarsus, whose past was darker than most, and hear the first word a believer spoke to him: "Brother." Years later, as an old man in chains, Paul wrote that he was forgetting what lay behind and reaching forward to what lay ahead, like a runner who keeps his eyes on the finish line. Freedom from regret does not mean pretending the past never mattered. It means letting the lesson stay while the weight goes. Pray along with the refrain, "I lay yesterday down, Lord, and reach for what You have ahead," and step into this week forgiven, free, and looking unto Jesus. Type "I am forgiven, and I am free" in the comments as your declaration of faith this morning, and share this prayer with someone who is weighed down by the past. 🙏 In This Prayer: • Starting a new week by laying yesterday down at the feet of Jesus • Thanksgiving for the riches of God's grace and the price Jesus paid for it • Remembering how God carried us through seasons of deep regret • Gratitude for the people who showed us grace and the protection we never saw • Receiving God's forgiveness completely: sins blotted out like a cloud • Hearing God's call to return when we have drifted far from Him • Honest prayer over regrets as a parent, spouse, child, and friend • Releasing regrets about our health, our money, and the years we wandered • Paul's story: from persecutor to "Brother Saul" • Forgetting what is behind and pressing toward what is ahead • Letting the lesson stay while the weight goes • Permission to feel joy again, because joy is a gift for forgiven people • Taking practical steps: an apology, a phone call, a healthier choice • Trusting that it is not too late for a new beginning • Leaving a legacy of grace for the generations after us 📖 Key Bible Verses: 1. Ephesians 1:7: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins." 2. Isaiah 44:22: "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions… return unto me." 3. Acts 9:17: "Brother Saul." 4. 1 Timothy 1:15: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." 5. Philippians 3:13: "Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before." 6.
