Mary Pickford: The Most Powerful Woman in Hollywood

She was called America's Sweetheart, but she was born in Toronto. She signed the first million-dollar contract ever given to an actress, co-founded United Artists with Charlie Chaplin, and helped create the Academy behind the Oscars. Then she disappeared into her mansion. This is the true story of Mary Pickford: the poor girl who barely went to school, the silent star who ran her own productions, the queen of Pickfair, and the woman who planned to destroy her own films.
