Do You Want to Be Made Well

Do You Want to Be Well – Inspired By John 5:1-15 Thirty eight years beside the water Same mat, same place, same face Everyone here knows your story This pool has become your home base Then a stranger stops and sees you Looks right past the years of pain And asks the question nobody asks The one that's about to change everything Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again Because the life that waits on the other side Looks nothing like the one you're living in Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again All you have to do is lift your eyes Simply ask There's a comfort in the suffering When the pain becomes your name People see you, people know you And at least that's something, isn't it But what happens when the mat is gone And nobody stops to ask When the thing that made you visible Is the thing you left in the past Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again Because the life that waits on the other side Looks nothing like the one you're living in He said get up, pick up your mat and walk No fanfare, no gradual healing Just a choice made in a moment That rewrote the whole story And the enemy who left you alone When you were sick and small and still Now he's awake and he is angry Because you got up at the pool of Bethesda Do you want to be well Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again It will cost you your excuses It will cost you what you know It will cost you the familiar And the story you've been told But blessed are the ones who pay that price Blessed are the ones who choose the fight Blessed are the ones who want to be well Enough to get up and walk into the light Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again Because the life that waits on the other side Looks nothing like the one you're living in Do you want to be well Do you want to be whole again Jesus hasn't moved, He's still right here Simply ask Original lyrics by Trish Tipton Tried & True Worship Explore more worship songs and faith resources: https://trishstriedandtrue.com/faith-...
