''This Train is for BIG KIDS like me as well''! What a great way to spend Mother's Day 2024 aboard the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens Cane Steam Train and enjoy some of the garden's wildlife at the end of the ride. A truly beautiful, wonderful magic setting it is for the ''Australian Sugar Cane Railway'' officially opened on 20th November 1988. Just a bit of information for you. 'INVICTA'' ( Leeds Fowler 0-6-2T,) the Locomotive for today was purchased new for the Invicta Sugar mill in 1907. It was restored and returned to service with ASCR in November 2008 and the carriages were constructed locally from cane bin frames. Track Gauge is 610mm. (2 foot).
