100 subscribers! 🎉 Thank you so much for supporting Tanka Sala's Kitchen — today I'm celebrating with a traditional Pesara Pappu Bellam Payasam, a rich moong dal and jaggery kheer made the way it's made at home for festivals and special days. This is a simple, traditional Telugu sweet — moong dal cooked soft, melted jaggery strained clean, finished with ghee-fried cashews, raisins, cardamom, and warm milk. Perfect for festivals, pooja prasadam, or any day you want something sweet and healthy. Ingredients • Pesara pappu (moong dal) – 1 cup • Bellam (jaggery) – 1 cup, melted and strained • Milk – 1½ cups • Ghee – 2 tbsp • Cashews (jeedipappu), kismis (dry grapes) • Elaichi (cardamom) powder Timestamps 0:00 Thank you for 100 subscribers 🎉 0:50 Ingredients & preparation 1:20 Cooking moong dal & melting the jaggery 2:40 Straining the jaggery — don't skip this step 3:30 Adding cashews, raisins & cardamom 4:20 Final plating & taste test Tip: Always strain the melted jaggery before adding it to the dal — it removes sand and impurities and gives you a clean, glossy payasam. Sorry for the two-week gap, friends — college exams! Regular videos are back on the channel now.
