Part 2 of the Cessna 140 series: the story of my own airplane. Cessna 140, serial number 127227, built in 1947 – formerly G-BTBV in Switzerland, today D-ETBV, based at Elbląg (EPEL), Poland. It started with an article about a bush-flying ski course in Alaska that required tailwheel experience. I found this 140 in Switzerland, a pre-buy inspection found a broken cylinder stud, Covid grounded the Alaska plans – and on 6 May 2020 we flew a Mooney to Switzerland to bring her home: Goleniów, Bückeburg, Bern, Zweisimmen, Mannheim. Then crosswinds, training at Słupsk and my first solo. Nearly eighty years old, and she still flies great. Thank you, Uwe and Przemek!
