This foundational yoga class is designed specifically for beginners, focusing on accessible mat-based grounding and essential standing postures to build strength, balance, and flexibility.
Using supportive props—two yoga blocks, a yoga strap, and a blanket—you will explore core yoga postures with proper alignment and comfort.
What to Expect
Grounding & Setup: Begin seated or kneeling on a folded yoga blanket to relieve tension in the lower back and hips, establishing steady, relaxed breathing.
Warm-up on the Mat: Gentle floor-based stretches using the yoga strap to open the shoulders, hamstrings, and lower back without strain.
Standing Postures & Balance: Transition to simple, empowering standing poses—such as Mountain Pose, Warrior II, and Triangle—using yoga blocks for stability and reach.
Cool-down & Relaxation: Return to the mat for gentle, restorative stretches before wrapping up in a relaxing final rest seated, supported by your blanket.
Equipment Needed
1 Yoga Mat
2 Yoga Blocks (for elevation and stability)
1 Yoga Strap (to assist with reach and flexibility)
1 Yoga Blanket (for seat elevation and knee cushioning)
