Consolidated financial statements in Excel, step by step: a parent and two subsidiaries in one worksheet. Map each company's accounts to one group chart, eliminate intercompany balances with your own formulas, and prove it ties with checks. What you'll build: one column per company, an Eliminations column with three entries (an intercompany management fee, an intercompany loan, and the investment against share capital), a Consolidated column, and checks that every balance sheet balances and every intercompany balance nets to zero. The example group is 100% owned and uses one currency; different currencies, partial ownership and acquisitions need extra steps that are not covered here.
