Griffs Magic Theatre 7th October 2026

The Kinks have claimed the sofa, the Small Faces insist they’re perfectly nice, and The Beatles reckon you’re a rich man. Clearly, they haven’t seen the gas bill. Welcome to another edition of Griff’s Magic Theatre: 27 tracks of mod mischief, psychedelic daydreaming, blues, and the occasional musical turn down a road that probably says “No Through Road”. This week, The Rockin’ Berries get things started with a Flashback, Creedence Clearwater Revival take us down to the bayou, and Dave & Ansel Collins arrive with a Double Barrel. There’s a little elegance from Wallace Collection, a little menace from The Seeds, and plenty to keep the neighbours wondering what you’re listening to now. Alongside The Yardbirds, Status Quo and Muddy Waters, you’ll find The Quotations, The Kirbys, The Barrier and Chords Five. You might rediscover an old favourite or meet a new one. Either way, Griff’s been rummaging, and we’re all benefiting. Put the kettle on, turn it up, and make yourself comfortable. You’ll have to ask The Kinks to shift over.
