Jackson's Week 2 Board & Train | Leash Meet & Greets & Polite Greetings

🐾 Jackson is kicking off his second and final week of Board & Train at Best Paw Forward Dog Training! Today, Jackson, the sweet Chocolate Lab, worked on leash meet and greets! This session focused on teaching Jackson how to greet people politely while on leash, maintain his attention on his handler, and practice calm, controlled behavior during greetings. Leash meet and greets are an important part of building good manners! We want Jackson to understand that meeting new people doesn't mean he gets to rush up, pull on the leash, or become overly excited. Instead, we're teaching him to stay engaged with his handler and approach greetings in a calm, respectful way. As Jackson continues through his final week of training, we'll keep building on the foundations he learned during week one while adding more distractions and real-life situations to help prepare him for success at home! 🐶 Jackson's Board & Train Goals: Polite greetings with people Recall and coming when called Leave It/Drop It and counter surfing Better listening skills around distractions 📍 Best Paw Forward Dog Training | Perkasie, PA We offer professional dog training in Bucks County, PA, including Board & Train, Day Training, Puppy School, and Private Lessons! 🐾 Follow along with Jackson's training journey to see his progress! bestpawforwardinc.com
