Woman Rise

WOMAN RISE – Inspired by John 4:4-30 She came at noon When no one would see her Jar in her hands and shame on her back Five times she loved and five times it broke her She stopped counting what she would never get back But Someone was sitting right there, at the well Not passing through, not looking away He asked her for water Like she had something to give And that was the start of the strangest of days Woman rise He knows your name Every part you tried to hide He saw it and He stayed Woman rise Put down that jar You came here empty You're leaving with more than you are He told her the truth and it didn't destroy her He named every scar Without calling her one She asked about worship About mountains and temples He said I'm the One that you've been looking for Come No condemnation No list of her failures Just living water Poured straight to her soul She forgot why she came left her jar at the well Ran back home to the people she'd been hiding from She said come see a man Who told me everything Every broken thing I ever did And loved me in the middle of it Come see, come see Come see what love can do To a woman who thought She was too far gone to be made new Woman rise He knows your name Every part you tried to hide He saw it and He stayed Woman rise Put down that jar You came here empty You're leaving with more than you are Woman rise Woman rise She left her jar She left her shame She went back whole And nothing was ever the same Original lyrics by Trish Tipton Tried & True Worship Explore more worship songs and faith resources: https://trishstriedandtrue.com/faith-...
