Winning requires knowing which game you're playing

Strategy assumes you understand which game is being played. But understanding this is harder than it sounds. AI is rapidly changing the playing field AND the game being played at the same time. Organizations regularly arrive at plateaus where it's appropriate to ask: "what are we going to be now?" It might also be that this question is necessary even between plateaus if the game changes out from under you!
