アメリカでおよそ9000人を追跡した調査から、経済学者ラトマーが導いた結論です。
しかも、その下がり方は、自分の給料が上がったときの喜びとほぼ同じ大きさでした。
同期が昇進した夜、友だちが新しい部屋の写真を上げた夜。
何も失っていないのに胸がざわつくのは、心が狭いからではありません。
人の幸せは、持っている量ではなく、周りとの差で決まりやすいのです。
