In this session, Peter learns a friendly attention sound, a simple kissy noise (a "positive interrupter"), that gets him to check in with you, even in the middle of play. A fresh, happy cue like this often works better than "no" or an overused "drop it," because it tells your dog what to do instead and doesn't carry any baggage. We also practice making letting go of toys fun through toy swaps and treat-scatter games.
