Ivy - Helping an Anxious Puppy Focus & Feel Calmer (Up/Down Pattern Game)

In this session, Ivy learns a simple eye-contact game ("Up/Down," one of the pattern games from Leslie McDevitt's Control Unleashed). A treat goes on the floor, and she earns the next one by choosing to look up at you. Pattern games help anxious, reactive, or easily overwhelmed dogs feel calmer because the rules never change, and they work on how your dog feels inside, which basic commands like sit and stay can't fix on their own. When Ivy needs a break and starts chewing on her harness, we listen and give her a chew toy instead of pushing on.
