The forecast for tomorrow is wet but it wasn't bad today so we went for a ride. I needed to put some petrol in anyway. It was always going to be a short ride because I didn't get much sleep last night and my back is sore. The ride was pleasant enough although slightly cooler than I expected (or in old Georide, "Caader than aa'd ettled on", if you prefer).
Went via Annitsford, Burradon and Camperdown to Seghill. I had intended to go on to Seaton Delaval and loop back via New Hartley but the level crossing in Seghill was closed. I made a U-turn, expecting the barrier to be down for ages but as soon as I had done it the damn thing opened. That's what you get for impatience!
At that point, I decided just to go for petrol and head for home. I estimated that we had done 149 miles for the 8.27 litres of E5 taken to fill up, which works out at about 82mpg. I think that's not bad for an old 350.
