Waiting for Her Turn…

September 17, 2026: My evening walk in gratitude… Waiting for Her Turn… There is something so peaceful about watching the marina at sunset. Tonight, the boats rested quietly beneath a sky slowly changing from golden light to soft blue, while the last bit of sunshine slipped between the masts. Above it all, the moon was already faintly shining, almost as if she were patiently waiting for the sun to finish before taking her turn. The hibiscus flowers were blowing in the evening breeze, reaching toward the remaining light. Then came one of those fleeting little moments I love so much. An airplane flew directly over the moon. It lasted only seconds, but I caught it. I think that is one of the reasons I love sunsets so much. No two are ever exactly the same. If you are paying attention, there is always something unexpected waiting to be noticed. Tonight’s reminder: “I am open to the infinite possibilities that the universe offers me.” The sun disappeared, the moon waited above, the flowers danced in the wind, and another beautiful day quietly came to an end. So grateful for the big beauty, the tiny moments, and everything in between. Capturing beauty, sharing light. —April
