Experiment 005 – Improving the AI Audio

What we were testing: Whether sharing the computer’s audio directly into Zoom would make the AI voice clearer than having the microphone pick it up through external speakers. What happened: Grant found that the AI voice sounded bass-heavy because the laptop microphone was recording both the room and the speaker. After working through Zoom’s sharing settings and a permission prompt, he enabled direct computer-audio sharing and recorded a comparison sample. There were also pauses and a delayed AI response after the recording was stopped. What we learned: Direct computer-audio sharing should provide a cleaner AI voice by avoiding room and speaker colouration. The test also established another workflow rule: wait until the AI has finished responding before stopping the recording.
