Experiment 006 – What Does AI Change About How We Learn?

What we were testing: How learning alongside AI changes Grant’s own thinking, confidence, curiosity and ability to explore unfamiliar ideas. What happened: After improving the recording setup, the conversation moved beyond technical testing. Grant reflected on how AI makes new projects feel more approachable, while also creating distractions and too many possible directions. As fatigue set in, the session ended early, followed by another AI response stall. What we learned: AI can act as more than an answer machine: it can help frame questions, organise possibilities and build confidence to try unfamiliar work. But effective learning still requires focus, judgment, rest and realistic expectations about technical limitations.
