Why Most of Your Anger Is Pointed at Empty Boats | Joseph Farley 🔔 SUBSCRIBE TO THE CREATIVE MIND NETWORK:    / @thecreativemindnetwork   Most of our anger is pointed at empty boats. Let that sink in for just a second. Most of what you're mad about tonight, there's nobody in the boat. Last time, I told you that the mind works the night shift. Whatever you give your subconscious mind in the last hour of your day, it builds it all night long. If you give it worry, it builds anxiety. If you give it gratitude, it builds hope. That was the why. Today is the how. In this teaching, Joseph Farley shares Chapter 7 of the Creative Mind Workbook with Section 7.4 — The Evening Practice (Part 2). You'll learn: • Why most of the people who hurt you aren't thinking about you at all • The 11-minute evening practice: Review, Gratitude, Lessons, Release • The ancient Taoist story of the Empty Boat • Why the "fog" makes everything look like an attack • How to let the fog lift before you sleep • The biblical foundation of evening rest • How to empty the boat and lay down in peace Somebody cuts you off in traffic. Your boss ignores your email. A friend forgets to call, and you take it personally. You rehearse it. What you should have said. Then you take it to bed with you. But here's the truth: most people weren't thinking about you at all. They're drifting through their own lives, colliding with you by accident. Empty boats. There is an ancient Taoist story that captures this perfectly. A man was crossing a river in a small boat. The fog was thick. Suddenly, another boat collided with his. The man was furious. He stood up and shouted into the fog, "Who is driving that boat? Watch where you are going!" There was no answer. He grabbed his oar and prepared to fight. But as the fog lifted, he saw the truth. The other boat was empty. It had broken loose from its mooring upstream and drifted down the river. There was no one to blame. There was no one to fight. And the man's anger vanished in an instant. The evening practice is the act of seeing clearly before you sleep. It is the act of releasing the anger, the frustration, and the resentment that the fog has created. Tonight, try the 11-minute practice: • Review the day (3 mins) • Write down three things that went well (3 mins) • What did you learn? (3 mins) • Let it go (2 mins) Eleven minutes can change how you sleep tonight and who you are tomorrow morning. Empty the boat before you sleep. 📚 REFERENCES MENTIONED • The Taoist Parable of the Empty Boat • Psalm 4:8 — "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep" • Psalm 127:2 — "He giveth his beloved sleep" • Philippians 4:6-7 — "Be careful for nothing" • Matthew 11:28 — "Come unto me, all ye that labour" 📥 GET THE CREATIVE MIND WORKBOOK 🔔 SUBSCRIBE TO THE CREATIVE MIND NETWORK:    / @thecreativemindnetwork   💬 What is one thing you are letting go of tonight?
