LOS CRISTIANOS Tenerife 🇪🇸 — a complete 4K walking tour through one of the most famous seaside towns in the south of Tenerife. Join me as we explore Los Cristianos, walking through the heart of the town, discovering its small streets, local atmosphere, shops, restaurants and traditional corners before making our way back towards the beautiful Playa de Los Cristianos. But Los Cristianos is much more than a modern holiday resort. Once a small fishing and maritime settlement, the town played an important role in the development of tourism in southern Tenerife. In the late 1950s, Swedish visitors began arriving here, attracted by the climate and seaside environment. This helped Los Cristianos become one of the pioneers of international tourism in the south of the island. During this walking tour, we'll experience both sides of Los Cristianos — the busy tourist destination and the older streets that still give the town a sense of its maritime past. We'll wander through little streets and alleys, pass restaurants, cafés, shops and everyday local life, and gradually make our way towards the coast. Eventually, we return to Playa de Los Cristianos, the historic beach at the centre of the town. With its golden/light sand and generally calm waters, it remains one of the defining landmarks of the area. The beach is around 345–400 metres long and is surrounded by restaurants, services and the lively seafront. From the waterfront, you can also see the boats and the activity of the Port of Los Cristianos, one of the most important passenger ports in southern Tenerife. Ferries connect the island with La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma, while other boats leave for excursions and marine activities.
